Getoptics Group Ltd is an online retailer of contact lenses, contact lense solutions and eye care products. It is a new company formed to acquire GetLenses and Postoptics. Postoptics has already been acquired, while Octopus' investment will fund the immediate acquisition of GetLenses.

Getoptics is the largest online retailer of contact lenses in the UK. With a turnover of £6.5 million and 25-30% market share of the online market, the Company will have unrivalled buying power in the e-commerce lens market, founded on very good relations with contact lens manufacturers.

As a result of the combination, Getoptics will have the opportunity to grow with minimal capital expenditure over the coming years and the chance to roll out best practices learned across the business in marketing, business development, supply chain management and systems.
