The Company and Our Investment

In March 2006, Octopus invested £3m in the MBO of franchise pizza delivery company Perfect Pizza. Perfect Pizza is the third largest pizza delivery business in the U.K. with over 100 franchised stores throughout the country. Revenue is earned from selling food and drink to the franchisees and a royalty commission based on the overall level of sales.

The home delivery pizza market is growing as a result of the long term trend away from ‘home cooking'. Pizzas have become the most popular home delivered meal in the UK and while the total market is expected to grow at c.5% per annum, the branded businesses are forecast to grow at a faster rate.
