It seems that everywhere you look today there is another book about "How I made it" or "10 Things All Entrepreneurs Should Know" or even nice helpful books like "How To Get Rich... Quick".

Here at Octopus Ventures we are not trying to further this trend by publishing our own version of these titles, but rather distil some of the best tips from them and collate them here for your ease of reference. With this in mind, we have started with a few pointers on pitching your business.

Pitching Your Business

Pitching a business proposal well is integral to raising finance. At Octopus we want to see you at your best and want to see you succeed. To help you do this, we have put together a few slides - Pitching Your Business - which set out some basic pitfalls to avoid and some pointers to consider. The document is not all encompassing, but we hope it's a useful tool and will help you focus your efforts in the run up to a pitch.
